Everyone is Welcome
North End Co-operative Preschool is a registered non-profit charitable organization that has been in operation since February 1976. In our child care program, every child belongs and is welcome. We provide a fully inclusive atmosphere that supports each child’s development. For additional support needs, a Resource Consultant can be accessed through our program.
Safety is our first concern
The school is licensed and inspected by the Ministry of Education – Child Care and Early Years Act 2014 and inspected by the Niagara Regional Health Department and the St. Catharines Fire Services.
Be Part of Our Community
North End Co-op Preschool strives to get parents involved in their child’s education. We offer parents the opportunity to engage in the classroom on a volunteer basis where parents help supervise children, perform housekeeping tasks, and assist with snacks. All parents commit to fundraising, committee participation, and have the opportunity to serve on the Board of Directors.

Jennifer Westveer
Supervisor / Registered Early Childhood Educator / Ontario Certified Teacher
Jennifer Westveer, graduated from Brock University with a Child and Youth Studies and Education Degree with honours. She also graduated from Loyalist College with an Early Childhood Education diploma and has completed Quality Child Care Niagara Training Initiatives.
Catherine Murray
Registered Early Childhood Educator
Catherine Murray graduated from Niagara College with her Early Childhood Education diploma and has completed Quality Child Care Niagara Training Initiatives.
All Staff continue to take workshops to ensure their skills and abilities are up to date so they can continue to provide an outstanding program for all the children in their care.

The Early Childhood Community Development Centre (ECCDC) hosted their annual awards banquet on November 29th. North-End’s former supervisor nominated our now supervisor Jennifer Westveer for two awards. At the awards dinner Jennifer Westveer received the Early Childhood Educator Professionalism Award which was awarded to 10 Early Childhood Educators, as well as the Commitment to Continuous Professional Learning and Community Collaboration Award, which was awarded to only 1 Early Childhood Educator.

Community Recognition
In 2014, North End Co-operative Preschool received the Quality Child Care Niagara Exceptional Program Award. This category of awards recognizes Registered Early Childhood Educators (RECEs) who exemplify the highest professional standards in their daily practice with families and children.
In 2017, North End Co-operative Preschool received the Nurturing Children’s Connection to Nature Award.
